Kim Lene Williams, the wife of former Judge Eric Williams has been accused of capital murder in the killing of Kaufman County, Texas District Attorney Mike McLelland. The AP reported that no official charge was listed for Kim Lene Williams but that a law enforcement source confirmed Williams was being held on $10 million bond in regards to her alleged role in McLelland's murder and possibly that of Mark Hasse.
Williams' husband, Judge Eric L. Williams, was previously charged with theft after he stole a number of computers. He has since been charged with terroristic threats after allegedly being found to be the source of anonymous emails threatening more attacks on law enforcement soonafter McLelland's body was found. He has had his law license revoked. Kim Lene Williams allegedly confessed to killing Mike McLelland, with an affidavit confirming she "described in detail her role along with that of her husband", Eric, who has denied any participation in the murders.
The bodies of Texas DA Mike McLelland and his wife were found in late March, only months after the killing of Hasse, an Assistant DA in the county. The Latin Times previously reported on Mike McLelland's murder.
