Kevin Bacon, star of "The Following" spoiled a major plot twist for his fans after tweeting about his character, Ryan Hardy's major secret. He quickly issued an apology to his fans via Twitter on Tuesday after he unknowingly revealed a spoiler for international viewers who hadn't had a chance to see the most recent episode.
After the most recent episode "The Curse" aired on TV, a TV producer and director, Jodi Gomes, tweeted a compliment to Bacon and show creator Kevin Williamson. "@kevinbacon is a murderer too! Nice twist."
Bacon who was probably attempting to help "The Following" and show his Ryan Hardy prise retweeted the compliment to his 234,000 followers, some of whom live overseas and hadn't had a chance to see the most recent episode in their home countries.
Bacon immediately received thousands of angry tweets explaining that he had ruined the plot twist. However, fortunately for Bacon, he was quick to send out his apologies. He even posted a video of himself saying "My Bad" to The Following's dedicated following.
He also then tweeted "To all the fans abroad and late watchers I'm truly sorry I retweeted a spoiler. I just wasn't thinking. Won't happen again. #MyBad."
