Hollywood's best kept secret was the marriage of Scandal's Kerry Washington and her football star fiancé Nnamdi Asomugha. Sports gossip site Terez Owens first reported it, and E! News confirmed it.
Washington and Asomugha married on June 24 in Blaine Coundy, Idaho. The actress is famously guarded about her private life, which is why the news of her big day came as a big surprise to a lot of people. She broke up with former beau David Moscow in 2007 and has reportedly been dating Asomugh since last summer.
Asomugha, the 31-year-old three-time Pro Bowl star, played with the Oakland Raiders, who drafted him following his graduation from UC Berkeley in 2003, and the Philadelphia Eagles before signing with the 49ers in April. The athlete is no stranger to show business, either, having scored acting gigs on The Game, Friday Night Lights and Leverage in recent years.
Although the world didn't even know the two were dating, Washington might have hinted that something big was going to happen. She recently tweeted: "Ok. Logging off! See u in a few weeks! SO excited 4 all u UK #Gladiators about 2 experience Season 2! Spread the word! July 4th @More4Tweets." She must be taking a romantic honeymoon and well deserved vacation.
