Kerry Washington Pregnant! Will Olivia Pope Have Baby In 'Scandal'?

Kerry Washington is known for keeping her private life far away from the public eye, but this news was just too big to hide for a long time, the "Scandal" star is pregnant! According to reports, Washington, 36, and her husband of four months, San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, 32, are expecting their first child, a source close to the star revealed to Us Weekly. The couple wed quietly on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho after about a year of dating. They have managed to keep details of their private lives relatively under wraps after they first started dating in the summer of 2012.

A "pal" of the "Django Unchained" actress told Us Weekly that she's about four months along, and Vanity Fair adds that although there has been no confirmation from reps and no visible "baby bump" yet, blogs have been speculating about a potential pregnancy for weeks. Pregnant or not, the truth is, Kerry Washington is at the peak of her career, starring in a massively popular television show, earning her first Emmy nomination, appearing in almost every magazine cover, and as the cherry on top, she's hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.

But aside from all her accomplishments, the question on everybody's minds is: Will Olivia Pope get pregnant in "Scandal"? Hold your horses there, because according to sources that talked to E! News, ABC and executive producer Shonda Rhimes are "in the early stages of figuring out how to address Washington's pregnancy on the show." E! goes on, adding that one insider insists it's "unlikely" that Olivia Pope will get pregnant, saying, "It would slow Olivia and the show down." It seems like the most likely scenario is that Washington's pregnancy will be hidden and the production schedule will be slightly altered if needed. But fear not, since Rhimes has a lot of experience in hiding pregnancies. No one ever realized that Ellen Pompeo, Sarah Drew, Jessica Capshaw and Chyler Leigh all filmed "Grey's Anatomy" while pregnant.
