Kelly Clarkson is pregnant -- the former American Idol star is expecting her first child with her husband Brandon Blackstock. The singer took to Twitter this afternoon to announce the happy news: "I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)" The "Stronger" singer and Blackstock tied the knot on Oct. 20 in Tennessee. This is Clarkson's first child, however, Blackstock has two children from a previous marriage.
Kelly Clarkson's pregnancy may not come as a surprise to fans -- the singer has not been shy about the fact that she has wanted a child. "I want babies!" the newlywed declared in a radio interview on Oct. 30. "Everybody keeps saying, 'What do you want for Christmas?' And I'm like, 'I want to be pregnant.'" She also told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show that the couple wanted a baby "like now! Practice makes perfect! We're trying, trying, trying."
The singer also told Leno she and Blackstock were planning on having more kids: "I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five." The singer has not made any announcements as to the sex of the baby, nor are we sure how long ago she found out. But we wish the singer congratulations on the happy news.
