Kate Middleton has become a sort of fashion icon with her outfits. She always appears elegant and well dressed, but according to fashion and royal experts, she has been channeling Princess Diana in her choice of clothes and recreating some of her iconic moments.
Middleton has earned the respect of royal fans, many of whom tend to buy clothes to replicate the same look. However, according to experts the Duchess of Cambridge is in turn inspired by Princess Diana, whose iconic looks she is adapting in a “deliberate” strategy, Express reported.
The fans should remember the photo in which Middleton announced her engagement to Prince William. She wore a blue frock back then that was very similar to Princess Diana’s jacket-and-skirt suit from the time she announced her engagement to Prince Charles.
When Middleton left the hospital after giving birth to Prince George, she wore a blue dress with white polka dots. That is exactly the kind of dress Princess Diana wore when she left the hospital with Prince William in her arms.
Following in Princess Diana’s footsteps was not what Middleton wanted to do when she initially started dating Prince William. However, she was reportedly instructed by palace insiders to watch footage in the royal archives to copy her mother-in-law’s style. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly said that it was “creepy” to watch the videos, but it appears to have paid off, especially when it comes to learning how to get out of a car when paparazzi are around.
With Halloween just around the corner, it is yet another opportunity for Middleton to pick a dress that is a nod to Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge may have chosen her outfit already, along with the costumes for her children.
Middleton was recently spotted shopping for Halloween outfits at a Sainsbury store, Mirror. She was accompanied by her children, and they reportedly spent an hour shopping.
