Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were once again compared to each other. The Duchess of Sussex was recently criticized for demanding too much privacy for her family.
During an interview with “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan, American actress Tatum O’Neal said that the two female royals seemed to show their support for each other at Wimbledon last week. However, Morgan said that what happened was actually quite the opposite.
The host, who has been criticizing Meghan for months, also discussed the recent incident at the sports event wherein the royal’s aide urged fans to stop taking photos of Prince Harry’s wife. O’Neal added that Kate and Meghan handle their fame very differently, and Morgan agreed.
“I think she gets it, I think Kate really gets it,” O’Neal said. “She gets the lack of privacy and I hope that they’re not fighting, I hope not,” she added.
Morgan quickly burst the actress’ bubble by saying that he has heard that there have been rumblings between the Sussexes and the Cambridges. O’Neal said that they also received the same news in the United States.
“I’m told from people who are in there that there’s a real problem, there is a problem,” Morgan said. “Can you imagine though? It seems to me that they could not be nicer people. Like how do you not get on with Kate and William, like how?” O’Neal responded.
Shortly after Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot last year, rumors swirled that the former actress and Kate are not on good terms. Reports claimed that Meghan made Kate cry during Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting. However, a spokesperson for the Palace said that the rumors aren’t true.
Meghan and Kate briefly silenced the speculations when they attended several events together. However, it was also announced that Meghan and Prince Harry have decided to split from Prince William and Kate.
The royal couple’s decision led fans to think that the couples are really having problems with each other. At present, Prince Harry and Meghan have separated from Prince William and Kate’s Royal Foundation.
