Kate del Castillo is not slowing down after finally speaking up about her controversial relationship with Mexican drug lord, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. Even though the 43-year-old actress is still in the middle of a scandal, she is not letting any job opportunities pass her by.
On Monday, Don Pedro Rivera, father of the late singer Jenni Rivera, announced via social media that he is getting ready to work with Del Castillo in an upcoming project titled, “Dando y Dando.” “Ready to shoot the movie ‘Dando y Dando’ with the beautiful Kate Del Castillo!” Don Pedro wrote on his personal Instagram account next to a photo of him posing with the telenovela star.
Earlier this month, Don Pedro released a corrido with the same name that marks his return to the provocative genre. Which leads to the following question: Are they making a movie or a music video? Whatever the case is, we are excited to see Kate working with another member of the Rivera family.
Back in January, “La Reina del Sur” star joined Lupillo Rivera and Louis James in their music video, “Tequila,” which they eagerly promoted on social media and included a special appearance of Honor, Del Castillo’s tequila brand. Lupillo was also the only authorized singer to perform “El Capo y La Dama,” the censured corrido that tells the story of Kate’s ordeal with the Sinaloa Cartel leader.
According to Radio Fórmula, Kate and Don Pedro will be shooting “Dando y Dando” in the next couple of weeks. However, no further details about the production have been revealed.
