Kate Del Castillo did it again! The Mexican actress seems to have a very opinionated mind, and she is not afraid to make her thoughts public. Del Castillo, who has been trying to impulse Latino actors in Hollywood, was the object of criticism after expressing her opinions about Memorial Day. The “Dueños del Paraíso” start posted on her Twitter account, “Why remember the brave? There shouldn’t be wars in the first place; governments sending our loved ones to die for their mistakes? #MemorialDay”
In 2012, Kate also caused controversy for expressing raw opinions about religion, sexuality, politics, and organized crime leaders such as El Chapo Guzmán, who she addressed and encouraged him to do good things instead of trafficking, she also said she believed in his well mending more than the government’s. There have been mixed feelings about the racy comments that Kate dares to make on her personal account, after all, this is a “free” country and she is entitled to say whatever she wants to say.
During a recent interview, she was confronted about her Memorial Day tweet and this is what she had to say, “Yes, I said that, and I don’t regret it, at all, and I won’t say I didn’t say it. I said what I had to say, that day shouldn’t even exist, why we should be mourning our loved ones, and I said why I don’t agree with the concept of war, and that was my positive message, if they didn’t take it as positive, too bad.”
About the comments she made towards “El Chapo” and the Mexican government she mentions, “I remember they wanted me to take the post down, but I didn’t do it. No way! There was not anything I said I didn’t agree with, and I’m keeping my word, and I’ll tell you again, I don’t regret anything, and I won’t back down.”
