Roc Nation Latin artists Karen Rodríguez and Mozart La Para will be a part of the lineup of the 2017 “Budweiser Made In America” festival. The JAY Z curated two-day music festival and staple of Labor Day Weekend, returns to Philadelphia for a sixth year. This year’s concert will benefit both the ACLU of Pennsylvania and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
A primary goal of this music festival is to have a positive impact on the communities involved. As a result of this concert, the money invested into these communities will positively impact the education, income and health of the most vulnerable citizens in these regions.
Headlined by Jay Z, J. Cole and The Chainsmokers the festival takes place on September 2 and 3. Rodriguez and Mozart La Para will share a stage with Kaskade, Marshmello, Migos, Solange, Run the Jewels, Little Dragon, 21 Savage, and many others.
Both Karen Rodriguez and Mozart La Para will perform at the TIDAL Stage at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. Fans not able to attend can enjoy every moment through the concert livestream here!
Karen Rodriguez is busy promoting her single “Happy April Fools” and putting the finishing touches to the soon to be premiered video. The track penned by Rodriguez, was recorded in Romeo Santos’ personal studio and produced by the “King of Bachata” himself.
Karen reached national attention on season 10 of American Idol, where she blew audiences away with powerful renditions of “Hero” by Mariah Carey, “If You Had My Love” by Jennifer Lopez, “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, and “No Me Queda Más” by Selena. Karen became the first bilingual finalist on the show. Post American Idol, Karen sang background vocals on Marc Anthony’s #1 smash “Vivir Mi Vida” which led to a meeting with Romeo Santos.
Mozart La Para Recently performed at the Miami Bash and continues promoting his most recent single "Fiesta y Vacilón.” He joins the Roc Nation family as the first artist under the Latin division headed by multi-award winning singer Romeo Santos. Mozart La Para began his career as a singer in the year 2002. With his unique musical style and immense talent, he’s become one of the leaders of the urban movement within his country, Dominican Republic.
"El Dolor del Genero" had success with his single “Vamo en Dauran” taking him to travel throughout the Dominican Republic, United States and various Latin American countries. In the last year two of his singles “Aquí Nadie Toca” and “Toy Enamorao” reached the top of the Billboard Tropical Songs chart and won 7 Premios Soberano Awards.
Not only has Mozart La Para made an impact through his music, “Pueto Pa Mi,” a film based on his life, broke sales records in all the cinemas throughout the Dominican Republic.
