A singer, a rapper, an innovative songwriter- Kanye West is many things but when it comes to being punctual, he ranks pretty low on the list. The American singer has announced countless projects, of which many have been delayed or even scrapped. So, you can imagine our justified surprise (and disbelief) when he declared that he will be releasing a new album entitled "Jesus Is Born" in December 2019 during an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1.

"Sunday Service album, Jesus Is Born, on Christmas is coming," West told Lowe.

The release date comes as a surprise to many considering the fact that it's barely two months after "Jesus Is King". The latter album was originally slated to be released on September 27, but the 27th came and went, with West even holding a listening party in Detroit - the album was not released. It was later announced by West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, that he was making some last minutes tweaks, after which the song will be released on September 29. Again, the presumed release date went by with no new music from Kanye.

His album "Jesus Is King" was finally released on October 25 along with the theater premiere of its accompanying documentary and the internet went wild. While the album eventually did come out, it's hard to hold Kanye to his word and to believe that his upcoming album will, indeed, be released during Christmas 2019. One thing's for sure though, Kanye will no longer be dropping F bombs nor will he be using expletive language in line with his new found Christian faith.
