Everyone, including the most famous celebrities, has his or her own set of struggles to face. In a surprising social media post, Justin Bieber revealed the issues he once faced. But if a recent report is to be believed, the post might have landed the singer on a suicide watch.
The report about the Canadian singer came from Australia-based NW magazine, according to Gossip Cop. In an article titled “Bieber’s On Suicide Watch!” NW claimed that the singer’s family and loved ones are concerned about his mental state.
NW highlighted one line in Bieber’s lengthy Instagram post that detailed his struggles against depression and addiction. “It can get to the point where you don’t even want to live anymore,” the singer wrote on his social media account, which was also quoted by the publication.
The statement reportedly got people close to Bieber worried. “Justin’s not in a good way,” NW quoted an unnamed insider. “He’s been on suicide watch before, earlier this year — and now the general consensus among his family and friends is that he should not be left alone, even for a minute.”
The publication claimed that it’s helpful that Bieber has his wife, Hailey Baldwin, by his side at this point. Nevertheless, professional intervention is probably necessary.
“Justin’s Instagram post was extremely concerning,” the suspicious source continued. “I wouldn’t want to be in the shoes of his wife Hailey right now because he is obviously spiraling and leaning on her to get through this, and needs professional help.”
However, Gossip Cop wrote that the report is false and “wholly incorrect and misrepresentative of what the singer actually expressed.” The fact-checking site also pointed out that it has debunked similar stories in the past, such as when it was reported that Bieber was on a suicide watch, as well as claims that Baldwin is struggling to deal with her husband’s depression.
More importantly, Bieber’s Instagram post can’t be considered a cry for help if read in its entirety. On the contrary, it’s a message of hope for those who are currently struggling, a message of encouragement not to give up as things will eventually get better.
“All this to say even when the odds are against you, keep fighting,” Bieber said in his post. “Jesus loves you. Be kind today, be bold today. And love people today not by your standards but by God’s perfect unfailing love,” he concluded.
