Justin Bieber won the Milestone Award at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. However, the 19-year-old Canadian singer looked confused with the response he received on-stage as he went to accept the fan-voted award. Justin Bieber was booed by many in the audience when he accepted the Milestone Award, for which he beat out Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars.
In response, Bieber retorted, "This is not a gimmick: I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously." Evidently a number of attendees thought that was hardly the case, likely citing Bieber's routine tardiness at a number of recent concerts, and some even more awkward moments for the youngster.
Earlier this year, Justin Bieber was leaving Poland via a local airport. Prior to boarding his plane, he tore off his shirt and entered the frigid country's airport barechested. Reports of loud parties at the singer's Los Angeles home while Bieber was either in the city or out touring have angered neighbors, along with reports of Bieber drag racing on residential streets.
Even songstress Taylor Swift did not seem to be on good terms with the 'Biebs', after she was seen visibly grimacing while passing an ever-prevalent Gomez-Bieber public kissing episode backstage at the Billboard Awards show.
"I'm 19 years old," Bieber said in his Milestone speech, "I think I'm doing a pretty good job", remarking that fans should concentrate on his music, instead of other vague "bull". No word whether Bieber was actually referring to and admitting his extracurricular stunts.
