This is some big news, the long awaited fourth-installment to the "Jurassic Park" franchise has finally received an official movie title and a release date. Universal Pictures announced Tuesday that the new "Jurassic Park" film titled, "Jurassic World," will arrive in theaters June 12, 2015. The film had been previously rumored for a late 2014 release but due to production delays the film was pushed back.

Colin Trevorrow is set to direct the project with a script from his "Safety Not Guaranteed" writer Derek Connolly, but other than that and the fact that it will be shot in 3-D and produced by Steven Spielberg who directed the 1993 original and its 1997 follow-up, "The Lost World: Jurassic Park", any more details on Jurassic World remain elusive.

"The name Jurassic World obviously has different connotations than Jurassic Park, something that was included in all of the previous movies. In the three Jurassic Park movies, dinosaurs existed within the parks, but the new title seems to suggest that they have roamed the entire earth," remarks Hypable writer Andrew Sims.

Universal is adding to an already busy summer of sequels and franchises including "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Star Wars: Episode VII," the "Man of Steel" sequel, and "Independence Day 2."
