The eldest of Juan Osorio, a notable Mexican telenovela producer, has died, according to a report from Televisa. He was 30. There were no immediate details about the cause of death of Juan Osorio Jr., a son from Osorio Sr.'s first marriage, El Universal reported. He was found in the home of his girlfriend, Daniella, and was said to have died at around 3 p.m. June 29.
"Televisa empathizes with the sadness good friend and coworker Juan Osorio feels regarding the tragic loss of his son Juan," it said in a statement on Red Social.
Osorio Sr. was supposed to present 10 child look-alikes at a promotional event for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who is set to take on undefeated Floyd Mayweather in September. Osorio Sr. did not arrive on stage as planned due to the death of his son. Seven years ago, Osorio Jr. announced that he was getting back on track with his life following his struggles with alcoholism. He also worked alongside his father on the same production team.
"He was young and loved by everyone. He was on the production team of the telenovela 'Porque El Amor Manda.' They gave me the news and I am taken aback," actress Carmen Salinas said.
His son's death followed just days after Osorio Sr., known for his scandalous marrige to Niurka and coke addiction, announced that his wife Emireth Rivera is pregnant. He has three other children -- Myriam, Kenia and Emilio.
