The former Secretary of Finance of the State of Tabasco, José Manuel Sáiz Pineda, is one of the few Mexicans that have been able to buy one of the exclusive Ferrari F430, a model that cost him 4.6 million pesos (US $360,000).
According to a report by Tabasco Hoy, in order to afford the vehicle Sáiz Pineda had to have saved his 1.1 million pesos (US $89,870) salary for four years.
The Ferrari F430 is a sports car that was produced by Ferrari from 2004 to 2009, as a successor to the 360. It debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. Its replacement, the Ferrari 458 Italia, was unveiled on July, 2009.
The car features the first application of Ferrari's manettino steering wheel-mounted control knob. Drivers can select from five different settings that modify the vehicle's ESC system. It also has a 4.3L V8 petrol engine derived from a shared Ferrari/Maserati design and Enzo's tail lights and interior vents were added.
In the pictures released by Tabasco Hoy, the former politician receives his new Ferrari in his Mérida, Yucatán house. One photo shows four workers taking the car out the truck that carried it, while Sáiz Pineda supervised that everything was done properly.
The publication also revealed that the images were sent anonymously to their newsroom and they suspect that they were taken by a family member or a close friend of José Sáiz Pineda. The pictures were undated.
