Jorge Medina, the lead singer of regional music band La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, was recently involved in a horrific car accident that left him hospitalized on the morning of Nov. 22. According to reports, Medina was driving down a highway in his Toyota Sequoia when a Nissan Sentra got in his way and made him lose control. Medina ran into a light pole and later crashed against a truck. The vehicles didn't stop and each went their own way. Minutes later, the crash was reported to the authorities and they were told that the singer's truck was still circulating in the highway, and after police located it, began to chase it.
However, when Medina realized that he was being chased by police, he accelerated to lose them but lost control again and crashed into a tree, then crashed against another truck. He kept going and ran over a phone booth, and finally ran into yet another truck which was parked and was finally able to stop him. Medina wasn't alone in his car. His wife, Mónica Sánchez Sánchez, was with him, along with Norma Corona Sánchez, Aidé Toledo Morelos and José Alberto Corona. They all sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. It was reported that they're all in stable condition.
Jorge took it to social media and wrote a message to his fans. "Greetings from the hospital. I only need a plan B or a singer to cover for me. My wife and I are fine, thanks for worrying," he wrote in Spanish. Soon after he was cleared, the singer went before a judge and was asked to pay $1,300 for damages.
