Joe Rogan

Podcaster Joe Rogan has announced he will no longer travel to Canada, despite previously dismissing Donald Trump's suggestion that the country should become the 51st U.S. state as "ridiculous."

Tensions between the U.S. and Canada have escalated since the start of Trump's second term, largely due to a trade war triggered by a 25% tariff imposed on Canadian metals, with Canada responding in kind, according to Sky News.

Trump has also suggested Canada should relinquish its sovereignty and become part of the U.S., an idea that has been widely rejected by Canadians, including newly sworn-in Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Rogan, a vocal Trump supporter, previously mocked the notion of annexation but has recently shifted to making critical remarks about Canada.

"This is so ridiculous. I can't believe that there's like anti-American and anti-Canadian sentiment going on. It's the dumbest f--king feud," he said.

Despite his past statements about maintaining strong U.S.-Canada relations, Rogan recently announced on his podcast that he would not attend UFC 315 in Montreal, bluntly stating, "I don't go to Canada anymore... I'd rather go to Russia."

Rogan's comments also raise questions about his alignment with Trump, as it contradicts his earlier dismissal of the annexation rhetoric. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Carney has firmly rejected Trump's suggestions, vowing that Canada will remain independent despite economic pressures.
