Sofía Vergara joined the rest of the “Modern Family” cast at the ATAS Emmy Event on Monday, where she was bombarded with questions regarding husband Joe Manganiello’s health.
“He is OK,” the 43-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight’s reporter. “He had a little problem, but now he’s good.”
Besides assuring her hunky hubby is “doing great,” Vergara shared her reaction to a tweet Manganiello posted prior to his hospitalizations saying, “I love my wife.”
“I’m always very special with him, so it must have been one of my normal days,” the Colombian bombshell responded with a laugh. “That’s how I am.”
The 39-year-old actor pulled out of a charity event due to a “health scare” back in April, according to TMZ. It was later reported that he was taken to the ER, where he was diagnosed with an extremely serious appendicitis condition.
Daily Mail reports the “Magic Mike XXL” star also had to bow out of History Channel’s Navy SEAL drama series, “Six.” Walton Goggins (“Sons of Anarchy,” “The Hateful Eight”) was chosen as his replacement.
According to various sources, Manganiello presented several issues after tearing a bicep during the making of “Magic Mike,” which eventually landed him into the operation room.
As of now, his reps have failed to connect the two incidents or provide any further details about his current condition.
The couple’s last public appearance together was at the premiere of “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday” during the 2016 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival at Paramount Theatre on March 17, 2016 in Austin, Texas, where Manganiello plays himself.
“I’m just happy to be a part of this," Manganiello told USA Today about having the opportunity to share screen time with the one and only "Pee-wee Herman" (Paul Reubens) in the Netflix original. "It’s one of those magical things that popped up.”
