The jury that convicted Arias of murder had a difficult time agreeing about her punishment. The judge presiding over the trial dismissed the jury and decided a new jury would be sworn in to try and come to a decision about Arias' fate.

Arias was originally supposed to begin her retrial on July 18 but it now looks as though the new jury will not hear any evidence until late September. Arias' defense team has filed three requests with the Arizona prosecutors in an attempt to get the death penalty taken off the table. All three requests have been denied.
Arias told her 78,332 Twitter followers as much in her latest post. She said she was hoping they would be able to "settle quietly and less expensively." She then added "off to retrial we go," as if she were any other Twitter user talking about heading off to her favorite restaurant.
Earlier that same day Arias sent out another tweet thanking her "dedicated haters" who came out to court "just 2 glare at me," "I'm flattered" she added. One can't help but wonder was Arias referring to the courtroom watchers or the Alexander family?
