Jesus Franco died Tuesday in Malaga, Spain. The Spanish film director remembered for the 1970s film version of Bram Stoker's "Count Dracula" as well as "Oasis of the Zombies" died of unspecified causes at age 82. Jesus Franco, also known by his nickname Jess Franco, amassed a film history of nearly 200 films.

Jesus Franco took a break from directing horror films in the 1980s to produce a number of X-rated erotica and pornographic films, many of which reportedly made the United Kingdom's list of banned "nasty" movies.

At age 82, Jesus Franco was said to be working on yet another film at the time of his death. Still he is most remembered for "Count Dracula," which featured Christopher Lee in the title role. Lee went on to play James Bond villain Francisco Scaramanga in 1974s "The Man With The Golden Gun," opposite Roger Moore.

Born in Madrid in 1930, Jesus Franco Manera later married Spanish actress Lina Romay, a common sight in many of Franco's X-rated films, as well as the 1976 horror film "Jack The Ripper" which Jesus Franco directed. His unfinished film-in-progress, Al Pereira vs. The Alligator Women was said to be the last film Franco was going to make.
