Jessica Alba has no more patience for men who still cannot live in the modern society and continue to objectify women, or her in particular. Having given birth to three children, the actress said that her body has changed and yet, she’s at her most confident and self-assured. This means not being easily cowed to behave or act according to how men or society want women to act or behave.

Penning an essay for InStyle, the actress as well as Honest Company founder shared her perspective of her body these days and how this changed throughout the years. Apart from highlighting body positivity, the actress shared more about how women should be more accepting of and kind to themselves, more so that they are normally allowed to be by a society full of gender double standards.

"Looking back, when I shot my first InStyle cover (2007), I was insecure," the "L.A.'s Finest," star wrote. "I felt like I needed to be someone I wasn’t in order to be accepted. I allowed other people’s ideas of who they thought I should be to define me."

"Who am I now?" Alba asked. "I give zero (expletive),” she added.

Alba also explicitly shared how her body changed after giving birth to three children with husband and producer Cash Warren. Her eldest is now 11 and youngest, just 1, so her body has literally “exploded” and transformed.

"They’ve exploded my body, and I’m cool with it," she shared. "And I know I’m smart. I don’t care what everybody else thinks. I’m good, girl. I’m good,” she added.

After giving birth to her daughters is the time she really started to be confident and all-embracing of her womanhood, which means not letting men dictate how she sees and feels about herself. "I was in my early 30s, and it had taken up until then for me to feel confident in my body," she said. "I also stopped allowing myself to be objectified in the press through a male’s perspective. Screw that, man."

She touched on what many women feel conflicted about these days, especially at a certain age, or after they have given birth. According to her, she wears whatever she wants, which means sometimes being sexy and sometimes, covering up. It simply does not matter, as long as she feels good about herself.

This is in high contrast to how she felt about her body when she was in her teenage years and listening to what her management team was advising. She forced herself to do things that would not garner her unwanted attention, such as not eating and striving to look like a boy.

Alba as of now can be described as a dedicated mom who does not mind putting her acting career second. Being a business owner is a testament however that she can do it all, even though her kids will always be number one. Just recently, she shared several photos of her 1-year-old, coupled with the caption, “this kid crushes me,” plus three heart emojis.
