Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s engagement was announced via social media in March. The former pro-baseball player proposed at the Bahamas with a massive diamond ring, which was reported to be worth around $4.5 million.

The ring featured a 20-carat emerald-cut diamond. And while this piece of jewelry naturally gets the attention, there’s another detail that’s catching the eyes of many — it’s Lopez’s nail polish. The picture where Rodriguez held his fiancée’s hand after putting the ring on her fingers showed J.Lo’s beautifully done pearly white manicure, and fans want to know how to achieve that style.

As fans go crazy over Lopez’s manicure, the singer apparently started a trend again with nail polish. Not everyone can afford the multimillion-dollar engagement ring to adorn their fingers, but everyone can certainly get J.Lo’s perfect nails. Here’s how to get that nice color and texture.

While A-listers usually turn to expert manicurists to get perfect nails, according to Lopez’s manicurist, Tom Bachik, ordinary people can actually do it themselves. The process is actually easy and could be done in 30 minutes, according to him. The key is choosing the right color.

As shared by Bachik, J.Lo’s white manicure is achievable by going for a pearl finish on top of the white nail polish instead of using the matte one. The manicurist used Chantecaille’s nail sheer for the glittery effect, and this was applied on top of the white base color. As per Refinery, this Chantecaille Celestial Nail Shee costs £24 and can be bought at Harvey Nichols.

Another option to get Lopez’s pearl manicure is using Zoya nail polish in Leia. This opal shade gives the multidimensional effect since it features a mix of colors like green, fuschia and gold with white as base. This is cheaper than Chantecaille and only costs £9.94 at Nail Polish Direct.

For pretty white nail polish like Jennifer Lopez’s, OPI’s Infinite Shine 2 is also recommended. This nail lacquer lasts for a long time and gives a shiny finish on top of a white lacquer shade. This is worth $23.95 at OPI.
