As promised, JLo's HBO documentary "Dance Again World Tour" showed almost every aspect of the singer's life during her world tour, from the most public moments performing on stage to the most private ones where she breaks down in tears and confesses there were times she thought she was going to die from the pain of enduring her divorce from salsa star Marc Anthony. "I remember being on set, in my dressing room and not being able to get up in the morning. There's simply no pain that compares to the hurt and failure of a divorce."
The couple secretly wed in 2004 and Lopez gave birth to their twins, Max and Emme in 2008. Unfortunately, after trying everything to mend their relationship, the pair split in 2011 "The hope, the dreams, the fairytale... everything falls to pieces and you feel like you’re going to die. You feel like you failed and no matter how hard you tried, it just doesn’t work."
"That wasn't my dream. My dream was that we remained a family forever...you never want to destroy one," said the “Booty” singer, after explaining how her kids were her biggest concern about going through with her separation. Emme, who is 6 years old, shared how sad she gets about not being with her dad, “I have this necklace so I can always remember my daddy. I’ll be with him and always want to remember him, that’s why I bought this heart,” said the little one.
JLo wrote a book and gave several interviews about it, where she was very open about her past relationships, three divorces (from Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony), psychological abuse, her fear of being alone and how she’s battled to find her one true love.
