Jennifer Lopez is spending her days in Morocco and she couldn't be any happier. The singer and actress is in the North African country for the 14th edition of the popular Mawazine Music Festival, a 10-day long festival that will feature international artists such as Pharrell Williams, Sting, Maroon 5, Usher and Akon, in addition to Arab and African acts.

J.Lo is stoked to be performing at the festival because she's always wanted to form part of the country's signature event. "I'm excited for everyone to see my whole show and experience a Moroccan audience for the first time that way," she said to journalists in the Moroccan capital, reports Billboard.

In her interview with the Moroccan press, Lopez, who grew up in the Bronx, insisted that she's still "Jenny from the Block." "I am still Jenny from the block, that never really leaves you where you are from."

In addition to her performance at the Mawazine Music Festival, the 45-year-old mentioned upcoming projects, which include a show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and a NBC police series called "Shades of Blue."
