It is hard being a music superstar nowadays. Ask Jennifer Lopez, who just lost a great gig in India due to her famously outrageous demands.
The Bronx singer was due to perform at an upcoming cricket game, but J.Lo was asking for so much in return that the Indian Premier League decided to replace her.
Radar Online reported on Friday that Lopez was asking for a private plane to get around, as well as a large number of hotel rooms for all of her entourage members. The publication reveals that an insider source said it was a very bad move for the singer.
"She priced herself out of the event. It was an idiotic move because the audience for this event is huge. It's like the Super Bowl halftime show, last year it drew 56 million viewers."
Lopez's representative said that she received an offer but that it "conflicted with Jennifer's current music-recording schedule for an album due this summer."
Whatever the singer says, Lopez is famous for her requests as an actress and musical diva. She reportedly demanded a 45-foot trailer with couches, lilies, drapes and Diptyque candles, to perform in an AIDS benefit video.
The India Premier League decided to go with another singer, Miami's dance musician Pitbull.
