Jennifer Lopez, Casper Smart Split After More Than 2 Years Together: Did It Have To Do With Transgender Texts?

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have called it quits. Lopez, 44, and Smart, 27, dated for two and a half years. They were first spotted together in November 2011, just four months after JLo split from husband at the time, Marc Anthony. Smart was in the diva’s dance team and once the relationship went public, he would accompany her everywhere and even became close to her twins, Max and Emme.

A source told Us Weekly that the couple actually split about two months ago. "It has actually been an amicable process that started a few months ago," the insider said. "It wasn't an easy decision, but they decided to stay friends ... Their relationship couldn't work with the distance. He started trying to establish his own life and career, and she is so focused on hers, and they just couldn't be all about each other anymore."

Having said that, it seems that the breakup has nothing to do with Casper’s recent alleged racy texts to transgender models Sofie Vissa and Xristina Marie, which have been making rounds online for the past couple of weeks. Another source told TMZ, "Casper has been a single guy and can text or see whoever he wants, but the idea that he was knowingly texting a transsexual is laughable." The source continued, "He's not that guy, but like a lot of single guys online he obviously likes to look at a 'lil T and A."

As for JLo, she’s clearly doing fine as we’ve seen her recently in New York promoting her album and making appearances at different events in her Bronx neighborhood. Casper is allegedly in the process of moving out, and he might be pursuing acting in the future. “They are both in a good place now,” an insider added.
