"If this is love, real, real love, then I'm staying, no doubt," said Jennifer Hudson in her song "Spotlight," and apparently there's some sort of love with American Idol, because J-Hud is back!

The Oscar-winning singer, who was a contestant on the show on season 3, but didn't win, has reportedly signed a deal, making her the first celebrity to sit at the judges table this fall for season 13.

There's also been a lot of talk that joining her, will be season 1 winner, Kelly Clarkson and either Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken.

After a considerable drop of viewers, American Idol producers are rearranging the show, and one of the first measures was to hire judges who already know what the contestants are going through because they lived it themselves. With Hudson, and possibly Clarkson, on board, the show might appeal to its former audience, eliminating all the "diva meltdowns" and focusing on the real talent. There's still no word on Lambert or Aiken.

Another important decision producers made was to go back to a panel of three judges.

With this new cast, Fox is trying to highlight Idol's original idea and accomplishment, that it's the only singing competition to actually manufacture top-selling stars.

"It's Idol alums bringing in the next generation," a Fox source told E! News.
