A new Jenni Rivera book will be published next year that will reveal intimate secrets from the late singer. "My Crazy Life: Intimate Conversations With My Friend Jenni Rivera" was written by Laura Lucio, an alleged close friend and journalist that even claims to have helped Rivera write her autobiography. "In life I always recommended to Jenni to write as a form of therapy to relax, to let off steam and to heal the sores of the soul. Today, I do just that. I write to heal the pain of this great loss that was Jenni's life," Lucio said in a video posted on YouTube announcing the book. "I decided to finish the book 'My Crazy Life' that Jenni and I began writing in 2005 and continued until a few weeks before her departure."
Laura Lucio, author of "My Crazy Life" goes on to explain that "La Diva de la Banda" unveiled intimate secrets weeks before the accident that took her life. "In this book, true stories are handled with a perspective amongst friends, truths and events as they happened. You will find it entertaining and very human. Weeks before the fatal accident Jenni made very important revelations to me, she told me 'for the respect and love of my fans, I want you to include this in the book.'" Fans of the Regional Mexican singer have already criticized the author for releasing this book but she explains that, "My intention as her friend is never to offend anyone. I am simply honoring her wishes and her legacy. In memory of the love that Jenni gave her fans and because of the friendship that kept us united..." My Crazy Life: Intimate Conversations With My Friend Jenni Rivera" will be released on February 14, 2014.
Chiquis Rivera, daughter of Jenni, does not recognize Lucio as one of Jenni's close friends. Back in December, shortly after the death of the singer, Chiquis wrote on Twitter, "I am SOOO tired of people giving interviews regarding MY mother!! NO one should give interviews unless you consult with me and my brothers and sisters. Raquel Cordova you have NO RIGHT to give an interview regarding whatever situation, especially without knowing concrete info and without asking me first and foremost!" Then she really attacked Lucio when she said, "Laura Lucio neither do you! You have no right to open your mouth just because you have one. And you know it very well, like many people know that you were never my mother's 'GREAT friend.' People please don't believe everything you read or hear!! Wait patiently and you will get the TRUTH"
Whether Laura Lucio had a solid friendship with Rivera is unknown, but what we do know is that Jenni is still making money even after she passed away. Jenni Rivera was the only Latina in the Forbes 2013 list of "Top Earning Dead Celebrities." The singer died in a plane crash on December 9, 2012 after a concert in Monterrey, México at the age of 43. Rivera had an estimatad $7 million of earnings this year as sales of her records soared to 880,000, close to the number of albums she sold throughout her career. Adding to her postmortem earnings are the mun2 reality show "I Love Jenni," which chronicled the life and day-to-day of the Regional Mexican singer. This year the audience was bossted to 5.5 million as footage of her last hours of life where shown and the effects her death had on her family. To round up the figures, her autobipgraphy "Unbreakable: My Story, My Way" was released in July and has sold over 400,000 copies.
