A strip club dancer accused of straddling a rival and then threatening to kill her using a pair of scissors was arrested six years after the scuffle. The alleged fight happened in March 2015, at Silhouettes club in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The accused, Nycherene Whitehorne, who had fled to England following the incident finally appeared in court last week, nearly six years after the fight.
The 40-year-old stripper was accused of attacking co-worker Toyin Rausch while she was lap dancing at the club.
"She’s a dangerous woman. I thought she was going to kill me that night," Rausch said, The Scottish Sun reported.
"She meant nothing to me so I didn’t even know she had a problem with me. She came from nowhere and wouldn’t stop," she added.
Whitehorne, however, disappeared before the case could come to court.
The outstanding warrant only came to light last week after police officers attended Whitehorne's home in Croydon, south London following a disturbance call.
"She came to the notice of police on Monday when a disturbance took place at her address," Whitehorne’s solicitor, Lynn Bentley told the outlet.
"It did not result in criminal charges, but checks were made and a warrant from 2015 was revealed," Bentley said.
Responding officers took Whitehorne into custody after realizing there was a warrant out for her arrest.
"She has a now identified heart problem and is medicated for anxiety and panic attacks," he added.
Prosecutor Sean Ambrose said the witnesses reported seeing the accused on top of the victim during the scuffle.
"The complainer fought back by punching and kicking out at the accused," Ambrose said.
"At this time, witnesses intervened and attempted to stop this behaviour, at which point, one of the witnesses saw the accused grappling with the complainer and falling to the ground."
"One of the witnesses further noted the accused being restrained while holding a pair of scissors, holding them at waist height, blades pointing outwards."
"Witnesses also noted the complainer was lying naked on the floor opposite, restrained by one of the other witnesses."
"The witnesses immediately grabbed the accused, removed the scissors from her, and restrained her."
"The complainer was also restrained, however, the struggle continued with the complainer attempting to fight the accused by swinging a heeled shoe."
"Officers were contacted and attended... The accused and complainer were both cautioned and arrested and conveyed to Kittybrewster custody suite. Neither were injured as a result of the disturbance," the prosecutor added.
During her interview with The Scottish Sun, Rausch said she survived the attack only because she was "lucky".
"It’s been so long that I thought it had all been forgotten about," Rausch said.
"I’m glad she didn’t get away with it because she is scary. She shouldn’t be able to just walk away."
"I still have flashbacks to what she did to me. I’m lucky that I’m still here," she recalled.
