The fifth season of the Telemundo reality show, 'La Casa de los Famosos' is set to premiere tonight, on February 4. However, hosts Jimena Gallego and Javier Poza admit but this year's 'All Star' edition already started on TV and across social media.

In an interview with ENSTARZ ¡Latino!, the Mexican presenters shared that they already feel the tension brewing in what promises to be the most intense and dramatic season yet. Still, both Poza and Gallego remind fans: "It's just entertainment."

A historic season

"We're going from 0 to 100 in the very first episode, and we're all going to be on edge the entire season," said Poza, referencing the high-stakes nature of this 'All-Stars' edition. This season marks his debut as host, following Héctor Sandarti and Nacho Lozano.

Though the official cast list hasn't been revealed, Poza has personally guaranteed drama and excitement. "We don't know who's officially confirmed yet because everyone claims they're in—but what we do know is that some major personalities will be part of it."

Jimena, who has been with the show since season one, confessed that she still gets nervous every time. "I already warned Javier on the first episode, I get super nervous. Sorry, it's just the way it is!" she said, laughing.

Among those reportedly in pre-show isolation, a requirement before entering the house, are Lupillo Rivera and Niurka Marcos. The rumored cast also includes Nacho Casano, Mayelik González, Aleska Génesis, and other former contestants, as well as reality TV stars from other countries unfamiliar to U.S. audiences.

"It's not an educational show"

Known for its emotional highs and intense conflicts, the reality show often sparks debates about its influence and the behaviors it showcases.

Poza emphasized the importance of empathy toward contestants. "Yes, these are celebrities, but they're human beings first. And as humans, we are complex, with different levels of emotional intelligence," he reflected.

Jimena recalled how the show has led to personal transformations. "Lupillo Rivera, for instance, hadn't spoken to his mother in years. The first thing he did after leaving the show was go see her."

However, Poza made it clear that 'La Casa de los Famosos' is meant for entertainment, not education or moral guidance.

"In my opinion, television is about entertaining. This show, in particular, is designed to provide families with an escape from their daily struggles," he stressed.

A season without comparison

Both hosts agree that this season will be unlike any before. "This one is going to be wild. I know it—it'll be the best yet!" Jimena declared.

With a mix of former rivals, unexpected strategies, and emotions running high, 'La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars' is shaping up to be must-watch TV. Who will win over the audience, and who will stir the biggest controversies? We'll find out soon!
