The 37-year-old, who recently confirmed that he's leaving NBC television's 'Saturday Night Live,' plays football coach Ted Lasso, a confident American who thinks he'll be able to translate his knowledge of the American sport to Europe's style of football, referred to as 'soccer' in the United States.
Taking over English Premier League club Tottenham, Ted Lasso tries to understand the difference between American and European tackling while getting a hold of the terminology and various teams associated with European football.

Created to help promote NBC's upcoming coverage of Premier League Soccer, 'An American Coach In London' has become an instant hit across social network sites and various Internet outlets.
In addition to taking the lead role in the four-minute skit, Sudeikis is also the featured actor in 'We're The Millers,' a comedy movie where he stars alongside Jennifer Aniston. The film is set to release in the United States on Friday, August 9th.
