It's not surprising that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is not a well-liked man. During his campaign, the hate many people has shown for Trump has been real but this move tops them all.

According to the LA Times, Donald Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been destroyed. While his star has been a victim to graffiti and other vandalism tactics, Los Angeles man Jamie Otis decided to completely dismantle the star with a sledgehammer.

The publication reports that Los Angeles police officers are investigating the act of vandalism. Deadline reports that Otis dressed as a construction worker arriving at around 5:45a.m. Wednesday and smashed the star using a sledgehammer and pickax.

While this act is pretty extreme, people have been trying to get rid of the star for quite sometime. It has been stomped on and even spray-painted with a swastika and "mute" icon on it. Another person even built a miniature border wall around it.

Deadline further reports that a man to claim the vandalism said that he originally intended to remove it and auction it off. He told the site that he wanted to raise funds for the women who have recently come forward to accuse Trump of sexually assaulting them.

While Trump has vehemently denied the allegations of sexual assault, this act shows that the public is not really buying anything that comes out of his mouth.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which operates the Walk of Fame, is working with police will seek to have the offender prosecuted, Leron Gubler, the chamber’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

The star will be repaired immediately, according to the statement, but will require “several days of seasoning before it is polished.” During that time, it will be covered to protect it.
