The new Apple iPhone 6 will debut tomorrow, Sept. 9! So far, we know that the new iPhone 6 will be available in 4.7-inch screen and 5.5-inch screen variants. The new iPhones will also feature new processors, new camera technology, increased storage, larger battery, and more. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm whether or not the new iPhone 6 will feature the highly anticipated sapphire crystal screens. However, the new iPhone 6 isn't the only thing that Apple is slated to unveil.
Earlier today, a Reddit user leaked CAD renderings of the new Apple iWatch, providing us with the very first substantial look at the new wearable accessory from the Cupertino company. According to the Redditor, the new iWatch is "the most complex and expensive product to manufacture to date." While the statement is obviously hyperbole (is it more expensive and complex to build than a Tesla vehicle?), but it is definitely one of the most complex swart watches that we have come across.
So this is what we have learned from the CAD renderings: the iWatch will feature a mic and speaker, specifically for the support of SIRI in an impossibly compact package. Secondly, the compact screen boasts multi-touch technology. Next, the iWatch does not seem to feature a lightning connector or other charging ports, which could only mean it uses wireless charging. According to the leaker, the battery life will lost more than a day. Last but not least, the iWatch is waterproof to 20m and is available in a total of 8 variations, including four colors in two sizes.
Based on the CAD illustrations, there is a sophisticated sensor plate on the back of the watch. The new iPhone 6 promises to deliver a new range of health and wellness apps for users. No doubt, the new iWatch will definitely enhance the health app experience.
Despite the leaker's claim that the new iWatch would be the "most complex and expensive" product to manufacture to date, we still don't know how much the Apple iWatch would actually cost. According to Re/code's John Paczkowski and colleague Dawn Chmielewski, the new Apple iWatch is expected to have a $400 price tag.
Finally, according to PhoneArena, Apple is slated to begin iWatch production in January. Stay tuned as we find out more about the new Apple iWatch tomorrow!
