It seems like a headline about Hillary Clinton was edited out from a copy o Ivana Trump’s 1992 Vanity Fair cover that was displayed during her funeral Wednesday.
To mourn the first wife of former President Donald Trump, people gathered at St. Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic Church in New York for her funeral, reported Business Insider.
Authorities said that Ivana, who was 73, was found dead at the foot of her townhouse's staircase on July 14. Her death was ruled by the New York City medical examiner as an accident.
Photos from her funeral showed two of her magazine covers on display by the altar at the funeral. It included her May 1992 Vanity Fair cover as well. The original Vanity Fair cover featured Ivana sitting on a yellow couch alongside the headline "Ivana Be a Star!"
The issue, which came out during Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign, also had Hillary's name on the cover, with the headline "Will she get to the White House with Bill or without him?" But the photos from the funeral appeared to show that the headline about Hillary had been removed from the version that was displayed at the memorial. The two other headlines on the cover -- one about Imelda Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines and the other about conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh -- remained on the version that was used for the funeral.
The Trump Organization had handled the funeral, according to The New York Times. Since Trump was involved in it, it was perhaps fitting, given his fascination with magazine covers and penchant for bending the truth, that a seemingly photoshopped version of the cover was on display at the funeral, reported Vanity Fair.
The Clintons had attended Trump's wedding to Melania Trump, who is his current wife. But that friendship took a hit when Trump and Hillary ran against each other in the 2016 U..S Presidential election. Trump shared and encouraged conspiracy theories about her.
As for the two-hour funeral, it was attended by Trump and his three children -- Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr.-- whom he had with Ivana. Publicist R. Couri Hay, who was at the service, said that it was a "big, glamorous celebration of her life." Her coffin was draped in a purple cloth and the church was decorated with her favorite roses, said Hay. Ivana's children delivered eulogies, but Trump did not offer any remarks, though he appeared upset in photos after the funeral.
