One of London’s most exciting live events has been taking place at The Roundhouse art centre this whole month, and millions all over the world have gathered to enjoy the performances thanks to a live stream. We’re talking about the iTunes Festival, an annual, month-long music festival and concert series that takes place in September and started in 2007. This year, the festival has featured artists such as Lady Gaga, who opened the event with an outstanding performance and preview of the best songs of her new album ARTPOP, Elton John, Pixies, Kings of Leon, Ellie Goulding, Paramore, Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke and Jessie J, among others.

Unfortunately, good things come to an end, and the last day of the month is here, meaning that the festival will be ending today, but not without an amazing performance from international super star and hit maker Katy Perry. Katy started her career as a gospel singer, releasing one album as Katy Hudson. In 2007 she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records, and adopted her current stage name, Katy Perry (Perry being her mother’s maiden name). A year later she released her second album, “One of the Boys,” which skyrocketed Katy to fame after the singles “I Kissed a Girl,” “Hot n Cold,” “Thinking of You” and “Waking up in Vegas” became major hits.

After following the success of her album with the “Hello Katy Perry Tour,” the singer went on to release her third album “Teenage Dream.” It became the first album recorded by a female artist in history to produce five number-one hits and the second overall after Michael Jackson’s “Bad,” released in August 1987. Her prolific career has also been awarded several times. Katy is the recipient of numerous awards and nominations, recognizing her work in music. She has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards, was named by Billboard as 2012’s Woman of the Year, and also remains the only artist to spend 69 consecutive weeks in the top ten of the Hot 100.

Not satisfied with focusing her energy in one craft, Katy has ventured into celebrity endorsement and released three fragrances with the names “Purr,” “Meow” and “Killer Queen.” She was also the voice of Smurfette in the 2011 version of “The Smurfs,” and was spotlighted in her own 3D autobiographical film “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” released in 2012. Right now, Katy is prepping for the release of her new album PRISM, out Oct. 22, 2013, which already produced the Billboard Hot 100 number one single, “Roar.”

To access the iTunes Festival to watch the amazing Katy Perry deliver an outstanding and wild performance (we know we’re going to hear you roar!) from this side of the world, there are three different ways to watch: iOS gadgets, Apple TV users, and on your computer.
