Avicii, the DJ and producer, will be performing on Day 13 of the iTunes Festival in London along with fellow Swedish DJ Henrik B. Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, who was ranked number three on DJ Magazine's list of top 100 DJs earlier this year, is releasing his debut album "True" ahead of his performance on Friday. Anticipation for the album has been building since the inescapable "Levels" and other hits "Wake Me Up" and "You Make Me" started climbing the charts. Avicii has said that his album would feature musical influences outside of his usual electronic and house vibe, including country. It will feature Nile Rodgers, Mike Einziger of Incubus, Aloe Blac, Imagine Dragons star Dan Reynolds, and Adam Lambert, among others.

If you've been following the iTunes Festival this September and plan to keep on doing so, this month won't disappoint. A lot of people have been wondering what Apple put on this festival for. Fortune's Jim Dalrymple wrote on CNN earlier this month that it's got to do with giving the company's audience a sense of where their priorities are - with music, not just the technology that brings it to you. "So what is Apple getting out of running iTunes Festival?," writes Dalyrmple. "As subtle as the message is, I think Apple is telling the world that music still matters to them. The iTunes Store is what helped Apple become the company it is today-the iPods and selling music online transformed Apple into a household name that made consumer products, not just Macs."
