
Apple has released the latest update to iTunes today ahead of the day's release of the iOS 7 operating system. iTunes 11.1 was launched in the U.S and has a variety of features such as iTunes Radio, Genius Shuffle, Podcast Stations and Sync with iOS 7. iTunes Radio was first displayed in June at the Worldwide Developers Conference. The music streaming service is similar to Pandora. It offers a number of music stations and "an incredible catalog of music from the iTunes store," read the Apple description.
The Apple website announced iTunes Radio on June 10 with a message from Senior Apple Vice President Eddy Cue. The announcement read, "iTunes Radio is an incredible way to listen to personalized radio stations which have been created just for you. It's the music you love most and the music you're going to love, and you can easily buy it from the iTunes Store with just one click." iTunes Radio also offers exclusive content from various artists, including new songs before they are heard anywhere else.
Another feature offered with iTunes 11.1 is Genius Shuffle. This feature woks by syncing up songs that from your iTunes library that the Genius bar thinks will go well together. Apple calls it a "new magical way to enjoy your music." With the new Podcast Stations you will be able to create custom stations that automatically update your podcasts with new episodes. The Sync with iOS 7 feature allows you to "use iTunes to sync your favorite music, movies, and more to devices with iOS 7. In addition, iTunes now makes it even easier to quickly organize and sync apps to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch."
You can download iTunes 11.1 by using the download page from Apple. Macrumors.com says iTunes 11.1 should be available for download and arriving in the software update tool for the Mac soon.
