Talk about an intense game! This Italy vs. Uruguay World Cup match sure left us talking about it. In one of the most dramatic games so far, Uruguay beat Italy 1-0, advancing into the Round of 16. Italy is now eliminated from the tournament but not before Uruguay left its mark. It all began in the 60th minute, when Italian midfielder Claudio Marchisio got a red card. But it all went down when Uruguayan Luis Suárez presumably bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
Although this came as a surprise for some, Suárez has a reputation of being a biter, and has already been suspended twice in the past for doing that. While Latin Times does not tolerate that kind of violent behavior, we couldn’t get past all the internet memes and jokes that will live on even if Suárez is banned for the rest of the World Cup. Check them out below.
UPDATE: Brands and companies are also taking the infamous bite and using it as an opportunity to advertise their products. Click here to see the clever ads using Luis Suárez's World Cup behavior.
