iPhone 6 release date rumors have been newly sparked following Apple CEO Tim Cook's holiday speech to Apple employees. Although he didn't mention any specifics, Cook revealed that the company had "some big plans that we think customers are going to love."According to the International Business Times, this suggests not only a next generation iPhone release but also possibly another iPad update in the form of the iPad Pro.
Furthermore, according Taiwanese publication DigiTimes, the iPhone 6 will most likely be released in the second quarter of 2014. "Apple is also rumoured to be planning a larger size iPhone for May 2014, using a 20nm processor manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)," the report said. The iPhone 6 could represent Apple's first forray into the phablet market currently dominated by Samsung.
iPhone 6 spec rumors have swirled aorund new features such as a larger screen, with some reports suggesting a screen size as big as 5 inches. It may also be a curved, flexible screen made of ultra hard Sapphire glass.
