Macrumors is reporting that a Japanese website, ASCII.JP, has posted new photos of the alleged high-rumored gold iPhone 5S. The photos compare the devices casing to the tradition black and white color options of the iPhone as well as showing off the casing solo. The color of the device is in line with previous rumors and reports that stated the device would have a "champagne" color palette as opposed to the standard gold color look.
Over the past few weeks reports of the claim of an all gold iPhone have been popping up all over. With notable tech journalist such as TechCrunch's MG Siegler indicating from sources that the iPhone 5S would be offered in a gold color. Following that report, AllThingsD and 9to5Mac also reported that the gold edition of the iPhone would indeed be a new color option for the upcoming 5S device. This latest leak seems to be consistent with all those previous reports.
The new iPhone 5S is reported to be identical to the current generation iPhone 5. It is also rumored to have a fingerprint sensor which sole purpose is to unlock the device. The location of the fingerprint sensor has yet to be revealed although recent reports suggest it will sit right next to the home button. Among other minor upgrades the iPhone 5S is rumored to have an upgraded camera and a redesigned internal system. The iPhone 5S will also launch running Apple's new iOS 7 software which is scheduled to release this fall as well for Apple devices.
Apple is reportedly set to unveil the next-generation iPhone 5S along with the plastic or "5C" iPhone September 10. Both devices are also rumored to launch in the first wave of markets on September 20.
