As consumers eagerly await the announcement of the iPhone 5s new reports suggest that the release date is further away than originally anticipated. The delayed release date is a result of Apple launching a wide variety of upcoming products, and now according to a KGI Securities analyst we may not catch a glimpse of the iPhone 5s until sometime in late September. With the one year anniversary of the predecessor to the iPhone 5s quickly approaching, September seems like a logical time for an official iPhone 5s release date statement.
The rumors of the seventh-generation iPhone's delayed release date come in the wake of an incredibly exciting Wall Street Journal report, which confirmed that Apple is indeed testing out larger screens. The WSJ alleged that Apple is testing out large screens for its iPhones and iPad tablets, according to officials at the company's suppliers. The tech-giant has asked for smartphone prototypes with screens larger than 4 inches, this new screen design may be attempt to keep up with iPhone's competition and also consumers demands.
iPhone And iPad Large Screens Tested By Apple Due To Consumer Demands
With the Galaxy S4 and HTC One measuring up at 5 inches and 4.7 inches respectively, buyers are seeking out larger displays, which would give weight to the idea that iPhone 6 will have an even larger screen and display than we have yet to experience. According to iDigitalTimes, Apple may even increase its screen size to "4.3-inch display with an upcoming iteration of the iPhone, though the company is expected to make use of same four inch panels from the iPhone 5 when its successor hits store shelves later this year."
The Wall Street Journal's report added some much needed weight to the leaked pictures and iPhone 5s rumors that we have been hearing for months. Leaked photos of the iPhone 5s emerged and revealed quite a bit of information, most of it not so exciting for consumers. The photos have shown the iPhone 5s will look exactly like it's predecessor, iPhone 5, which sports a 4-inch Retina display.
