With the lackluster release of the iPad 4 which toted mostly all the same feautures as the iPad 3 with the exception of the new lightning connector and faster processor Apple's new device better impress.

Apple fans have come to expect exceptionally functioning, chic and modern designs from Apple but the last couple of years have only released regurgitated products with slight adjustments or upgrades.

The WWDC, Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, is coming very soon and Apple fans should expect to hear news on upcoming products. So, what should we expect to see from the new iPad 5?

Rumors have been hinting at a better battery life and that is truly needed to make the iPad an unstoppable force. Also hints have been suggesting that more storage capacity could be coming to the new device as well.

Now, more rumors suggest that we might see an iPad that will weigh less than a pound. Reports suggest that a 25-33 percent reduction in weight is very likely. And based on Apple's trend of slimming down their newer models we think this rumor could be true. A leap in design would be more than welcomed but don't expect Apple to change its iPad design anesthetic anytime soon.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said, "The new iPad will use one LED light bar for backlighting, compared to two LED light bars used in 4th-generation iPad, the sources noted."

The retina display feature of the iPad is expected to remain the same, at 2,048 x 1,536 pixels.

Apple is set to start production for the iPad 5 this July and should hit the shelves this September according to reports.

As of now the rumors surrounding the new iPad seems exactly like the old iPad, just slimmer and a better battery life. If Apple wants to compete they will need to unveil an all new product or add some unique features that only an iPad can do. It is still early however and we have not gotten all the details about this new iPad.

WWDC will take place June 6 and rumors suggest there will be news released about the new iPad, iPhone and iOS7.
