Apple's last media event was strictly focused on the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and the release date of iOS 7. Many speculated that the Cupertino tech company would also announce the release date for their full fledged operating system that has been in the works an an update to their iPad lines. Those products were not touched during the keynote, but the rumor mill has started churning again and it seems that Apple is preparing for a new event. French site, MacGeneration, is reporting that October 15 is the date that a new special event will take place.

For this event we can expect for Apple to report on sales of the iPhone and the adoption rate of iOS 7. This will also be a perfect time to announce the OS Mavericks release date, which has been promised for the "fall" season. Hitting right before the holidays, it would also be the perfect platform to showcase a brand new updated iPad 5 with Apple's new processor and maybe even with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The iPad mini is also due for an upgrade and fingers are crossed for a Retina Display and since this is their entry-level table, it could follow suit on the iPhone 5C strategy and introduce colors. Rumors have also swirled in the introduction of an all new Apple TV with a faster processor. This "hobby" recently received an update with new app additions like Disney Channel, Smithsonian Channel and VEVO TV. Along with an shiny new operating system, it only seems natural that Apple can give their desktop and laptop line a spec bump as well.

OS Mavericks is set for release this fall that will bring iBooks and the iBooks Store to the desktop and will have sync capabilities across all your iOS devices. Mavericks will also bring the Maps apps to the desktop as well as new features to the Calendar, Safari and Notifications. One of the major changes on the new OS is the Finder Tabs that will be implemented as well as tags for files on your computer that will make searching for them much easier. iCloud Keychain is another feature that will store, encrypt and automatically enter passwords across your devices.

What are you most excited to have Apple announce next?
