The internet gleefully mocked tech billionaire Peter Thiel after he stuttered and sweat through an interview question about the UnitedHealthcare CEO's killing during an appearance on "Piers Morgan Uncensored."
When asked what he would say to Americans that viewed the alleged shooter, Luigi Mangione, as a hero for assassinating a healthcare executive who allows thousands of people die by not providing coverage, the venture capitalist and PayPal cofounder started sweating and stuttering his way through his response.
"It's, I, I don't know what to say. I, I think, I still think you should try to make an argument and I, I think that this is, this is, there may be things wrong with our healthcare system but you have to make an argument and you have to try to find a way to convince people and, and change it by that. This is, this is not going to work," Thiel answered.
"There are all sorts of things one could say it about it, but I, I, I don't think," Thiel continued. "Again, I think, I think the, the motives feel. I don't know. I don't want to go into all the particulars here but I don't think there's anything heroic about him."
This is how you do not answer a question.

It appeared social media users were as baffled by his meandering response as the show's host.
"Is he having a stroke?" X user @MTRWIX wondered.

"He doesn't want a target on his back, which is why he's freaking out about being asked this question so hot off the back of the shooting. Remember this guy founded Palantir Technologies. A tech version of the 'seeing stones' in Lord of the Rings," another X user pointed out.

Palantir Technologies, a data analytics startup turned military and intelligence operator, has been accused of enabling global atrocities, including the genocide in Gaza, by providing "precision targeting" that is mass-killing civilians, according to The Cradle.
