An influencer had her cellphone violently stolen during a livestream after a masked individual smashed the window of her car and drove off with the phone while it was still recording.
Micaela Ybañez, known online as Milica, had just returned from doing a Christmas shopping trip in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She had just set up her phone on the dashboard while talking with a friend when the thief smashed in the driver's side window, as reported by Infocielo.
In video of the attack, which has since gone viral online, Ybañez is seen smiling with her friend while wearing reindeer antlers in the car. But seconds after setting up the camera, an individual wearing a motorcycle helmet comes up and smashes the window.
Glass is seen raining down on the inside of the car before the thief grabs the phone and drops it on the street. Ybañez can be heard screaming as the thief picks up the phone again, gets onto a motorcycle or scooter and drives off.
"Aside from the meme, we're fine. I cut myself a little because all the glass fell on me," Ybañez wrote in a post to X a couple of hours after the incident.
However, police said that the theft was not reported, as reported by Clarín.
Ybañez also shared a video to Instagram of her and her friend talking about the incident, during which she apologized to her friend for the damage to his car. They also included a clip of the pair joking about her phone getting stolen.
