Indian Man Bleeds To Death After Groin Gets Attacked By Rooster Groomed For Illegal Cockfight

An Indian man from Telangana met with an untimely death after the rooster he caged for an illegal cockfight attacked his groin in a moment of panic.

“Satish was hit by the rooster’s knife in his groin and started bleeding heavily,” said police inspector B. Jeevan on Sunday as per the New York Post, further revealing that the 45-year-old native of Lothunur Village succumbed to the injuries on his way to a nearby hospital.

The rooster on the other hand miraculously survived and was snapped pecking on grains at the police station.

The death initiated a further probe into the illegal activity and has the police on the lookout for 12 other people who were reportedly involved in curating the deadly cockfight. If nabbed and found guilty, miscreants could face up to two years in jail.

The ban on cockfights in India dates back to the 1960s. The dangerous activity falls under the ambit of animal cruelty as two birds with a knife or blade attached fight until one either dies.

The activity, despite being publicly banned, continues to be practiced in the Southern parts of India like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

In another bizarre incident pertaining to animal abuse, an influencer based out of Georgia was thrown behind bars for allegedly abusing her puppy for social media popularity. As per Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Brittany Johnson, 20, engaged in harming her 6-month-old Jack Russell terrier and streaming it on Instagram Live.

The cops were alerted of her brutal doings after videos of Johnson choking her pup began to go viral as reported in the New York Post.
