Husband Kills Himself Three Days After Wife And Neighbor Went Missing

A cab driver allegedly killed himself three days after his wife eloped with their neighbor, reported local media.

Kavinder lived with his family in Kasan village in India’s Uttar Pradesh, where he worked for a private company. To make ends meet, he also worked night shifts driving a cab in the city.

On the 10th of this month, Kavinder's wife Reena eloped with Ramveer, their neighbor, according to local media reports.

Kavinder was deeply disturbed by what his wife had done. He reportedly approached the police and filed a complaint against his wife and her alleged lover.

On Wednesday, July 13, Kavinder’s brother, Santhosh Kumar was alerted about his brother’s suicide attempt.

When Kumar rushed to the family’s home he found Kavinder unresponsive on the floor and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

Kavinder was pronounced dead at the hospital, reports said.

After being informed, officers from the IMT police station responded to the hospital and took possession of the body.

The body was sent to a medical examiner’s office, where an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s brother, the police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Kavinder's wife Reena and her lover Ramveer.

The whereabouts of the eloping couple remain unclear at this time, a police source said. A further probe is underway.

In another incident, a 28-year-old man bludgeoned his girlfriend to death with a hammer before killing himself in India’s Raipur district. The 12-year-long love story came to a tragic end over suspicion of infidelity, according to reports.

The shocking murder-suicide took place on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13.

Kamlesh Kumar repeatedly attacked his 28-year-old girlfriend, Archana Sahu with a hammer and blade at her rented house in the Bandhwapara locality. He then hanged himself to death, the Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Akash Rao Giripunje said.

Police were alerted about the assault. When they responded to the home and broke open the front door, they found the woman lying unresponsive in a pool of blood with her face disfigured and the man hanging dead from the ceiling fan.

During a search, police recovered a hastily scribbled note in which Kumar reportedly wrote of his doubts about Sahu’s character.
