Husband Jumps In Front Of Speeding Train After Murdering Wife By Drowning Her Head In Bucket Of Water

A 24-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife by drowning her head in a bucket full of water and later killed himself by jumping in front of a running train, according to reports.

The dismembered body of Mahananda Biswas was found on the railway tracks near Lakdikapul Railway Station in the Indian city of Hyderabad on Tuesday, June 28.

His 21-year-old wife, Komta Sarkar was found dead at their rented home in Chintalbasti under the Panjagutta police station limits.

According to local media reports, some daily wage laborers informed the police after finding the man’s dismembered remains on the railway tracks.

Responding officers recovered Biswas’ cellphone and a diary from his pant pocket. The diary entry revealed that Biswas had ended his life after killing his wife.

Police then rushed to his home and found his wife dead with her head still drowned in a bucket of water.

During further investigation, it was learned that the couple often engaged in fights as Biswas doubted his wife’s character, reports said.

On Monday, the couple got into a heated argument, during which Biswas beat his wife and then drowned her to death in a water bucket in the house. He then killed himself by coming under a speeding train.

The bodies were shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The Punjagutta police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

The couple, both natives of Assam, had shifted to Hyderabad about 20 days ago and were living in a rented home in the city.

Biswas was a security guard at a shopping mall in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad.

The 37-year-old dad, who has not been publicly identified, had left his baby boy in the hot car for up to three hours while he was at work. By the time he realized his horrific mistake and returned to check on his son, the baby had died, reports said.

He then rushed back to his home, carried the child inside, went out through the back door alone, and shot himself in a nearby wooded area.
