A man was brutally murdered by his live-in partner’s husband. The incident happened Saturday, April 24, in the city of Bhopal, India.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Ram Prasad Jatav, called his wife to come and meet their daughter, whom he said was ailing.
The woman, 38-year-old Neetu along with her live-in partner, 45-year-old Raju, believed the story and came to visit the accused.
Jatav received his wife and her lover at the railway station. He then asked Raju to accompany him to the nearby railway colony where he said his bike was parked. The suspect told his wife to wait at the railway station and rode away with her lover.
The suspect then came back for his wife, but he was alone. When she asked her husband about her lover, he replied that he killed him.
The woman immediately rushed to the spot where the suspect said he committed the crime and found her lover lying in a pool of blood.
She alerted the police who responded to the crime scene and found the man dead. The man had multiple stab wounds on his body.
The woman had eloped with her lover leaving her husband and three children behind. The humiliated suspect was waiting for a chance to avenge his loss. The couple has a daughter and two sons.
According to the police, the suspect was constantly inflicting pressure on the woman to come back to him. When he realized that nothing can bring back his lost love, he decided to lie to his wife that their daughter was sick.
The suspect was arrested. However, the charges imposed on him were unclear at this time.
An investigation is ongoing. The body was sent for an autopsy and the results are being awaited.
